As a child's knowledge of money grows, so does his or her respect for money and the likelihood the person will make smart financial decisions throughout life.
"Money and You: Financial Literacy Program" can help lay the foundation for successful money management by providing preschoolers opportunities to gain age-appropriate knowledge and skills.
This program has three levels. Level 1 is for preschoolers through second grade. It covers money basics, allowances, savings, and responsible spending. The other two Levels are for third grade and above.
The program is free and is produced by Modern Woodmen, a fraternal financial services organization. To get your copy, enter your zip code at: Money and You.
Modern Woodmen offers other free resources for preschoolers on Ecology Awareness, Exercise and Nutrition, and Safety and Life Skills.
Modern Woodmen also offers a variety of financial products for adults: life, medical and disability income insurance, annuities, retirement plans, banking services, and more.
