You're Invited to Tom Copeland's Retirement Celebration!

I’m announcing that I will be retiring this May after 41 years in the child care field. It’s time for me to step down. It’s been a joy to work over the years with so many family child care providers and organizations supporting providers.

My website will still be here, so none of the information will be lost. I will be posting some new resources (online classes, webinars and more) on my website over the next two months.

Three national organizations (Early Childhood Investigations, Think Small Institute/Redleaf Press and the National Association for Family Child Care) would like to celebrate my commitment and achievements with a streaming send‐off celebration and lifetime achievement award ceremony on April 14, 2022, at 8 PM Eastern Time.

You are invited to attend this ceremony! To register, go to the Early Childhood Investigations Webinars Facebook Page . Click "Going" or "Interested." If you click "Interested", you'll be sent reminders to join later. You can also click on the "Invite" button and share this invitation with others who might be interested.

During the celebration, selected guests will offer a few kind words, but you can also offer comments and well‐wishes before the celebration and in the chat during the event.

Before the celebration, please add your congratulations, encouragements, wishes, and hopes for Tom’s next act by posting on this padlet we created for himTo add your messages, click the red plus button found in the bottom right corner of the screen on this page to add your message. Feel free to use all the fun features of the padlet and be creative!  Your comments will be sent to me later.

Be sure to put April 14 at 8 PM Eastern Time on your calendar so you remember to join everyone on Facebook. If you know others who would like to attend but did not receive this notice, please share this with them. If you have questions, please contact Fran Simon.

Hope you can attend!

Thanks to:

Fran Simon, Early Childhood Investigations

Ellaine Miller, National Association for Family Child Care
